The Adriatic sea is outstanding in itself and it provides us with so many possibilities in nautical tourism. We must admit that Croatia is one of the most beautiful countries in the world and when you visit it (if you still haven’t), we assure you that you won’t be dissapointed. In this article we bring you some of the most interesting and beautiful snorkeling spots in Dalmatia. We hope you will enjoy and that these informations will be helpful to you. Dalmatia – Vis
Island of Vis is one of the most beautiful islands in Croatia – Dalmatia (if you ask us, maybe in the world š ). The most interesting fact about this beautiful island is that it was military island, to it is quite untacked yet. It was an army base for the Yugoslavian army.
There are numerous astonishing locales you can dive in this magical place.
The most popular snorkeling spots on Vis Island are Stiniva and Srebrna Beach, a peninsula where known as ÄeÅ”ka villa, waters around the Blue Cave on BiÅ”evo Island, and around Green Cave on Ravnik Island. Vis also has old military sea tunnels that served as warship shelters. They are very interesting to explore. Dalmatia – Makarska
Makarska Riviera stretches approximately 40 miles (or 60 kilometres) and it goes from Gradac on the north to Brela on the south. Riviera is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Dalmatia. You can choose from pebbly beaches to inhabited bays.

Dalmatia – Mljet
Mljet is known as Croatia’s greenest island in Dalmatia and it is also a national park so you can only imagine itās beauty. As a protected natural site, all water activities are limited and controlled. Sea is crystal clear, very clean and home to many forms of underwater life creatures. Mljet is a place where you can also see coral reefs, especially stony corals.
Popular snorkeling spots on the island are;
Veliko and Malo Jezero (Big and Small Lake), Rikavica and the most exciting spot of all Odysseus Cave. Cave is better for experienced snorkels because the water is very deep with cliffs dropping to the seafloor.

Dalmatia – Lopud
If you decide to come to Lopud to dive, we assure that you wonāt be disappointed, Discover the sea around sandy beaches, explore natural caves and enjoy in hidden lagoons. There are so many high and low rocks with astonishing underwater life beneath them. You can come there by foot or by boat. There is a whole new world underneath tea sea you can discover. You should watch out for sea urchins, they are all over Dalmatia.
You can contact any diving center from Dubrovnik and they can arrange you a diving tour from there.

Dalmatia – Dubrovnik
Although Dubrovnik is mainly known for itās astonishing architecture and rich history, we can highly recommend you some popular locations if you are a diving lover.
Buža is one of the most attractive and popular diving locations in Dubrovnik. The area is rocky with deep slabs, easily accessible from the center of the town. Water is clear and visibility underwater is very good.
DanÄe is another very attractive snorkeling location and is completely open to the sea. There are big and beautiful cliffs you can explore right at the seashore.
Gorica is a fantastic little spot reserved for experienced and confident divers. The sea bottom is very deep but you donāt have to dive deep to sea the underwater.
Lapad/Petka is very big and rocky area. It is a great place when itās not very windy. Itās not recommended to go alone there. Here you can see plenty of fish and other sea creatures.
Lokrum is an island and a great choice if you want to go away from the town.
