In this article we bring you some of the most interesting and beautiful snorkeling spots in Dalmatia. We hope you will enjoy and that these informations will be helpful to you. This is the first part, so we can’t wait to show you second part!

Dalmatia – Vis

Island of Vis is one of the most beautiful islands in Croatia – Dalmatia (if you ask us, maybe in the world 😊 ). The most interesting fact about this beautiful island is that it was military island, to it is quite untacked yet. It was an army base for the Yugoslavian army.

There are numerous astonishing locales you can dive in this magical place.

The most popular snorkeling spots on Vis Island are Stiniva and Srebrna Beach, a peninsula where known as Češka villa, waters around the Blue Cave on Biševo Island, and around Green Cave on Ravnik Island. Vis also has old military sea tunnels that served as warship shelters. They are very interesting to explore. Below you can see the map of places where you can have the most incredible snorkeling trip.

Mljet is known as Croatia’s greenest island in Dalmatia and it is also a national park so you can only imagine it’s beauty. As a protected natural site, all water activities are limited and controlled. Sea is crystal clear, very clean and home to many forms of underwater life creatures. Mljet is a place where you can also see coral reefs, especially stony corals.

Popular snorkeling spots on the island are;

Veliko and Malo Jezero (Big and Small Lake), Rikavica and the most exciting spot of all Odysseus Cave. Cave is better for experienced snorkels because the water is very deep with cliffs dropping to the seafloor.
