Island of Šolta is a perfect destination for all those in search of crystal clear sea, secluded beaches, and delicious fresh food offering ideal conditions for a relaxing and quite holiday. turquoise oases are ideal for single day excursions, exploration adventures, bathing, swimming, fishing, etc.
We star our excursion from Split at 9.00 following an easy drive to Krknjaši islands and Blue Lagoon for swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing and enjoying in amazing surrounding nature.
Around 11.30 we arrive stop at Maslinica, old town on island of Šolta, for coffee, sightseeing of renovated Martinis Marchi castle. The settlement developed around the castle built by the noble family Marchi in 1708. Due to frequent pirate attacks, the Marchi brothers requested from the Venetian governor an approval to build a castle with a tower to defend the village. Martinis Marchi now represents new, modern marina situated right next to the heritage hotel and the restaurant and it is a natural harbour and a safe shelter.
After Maslinica, we are headed to lunch around 13.30 at restaurant Volat in Stomorska where you can taste amazing fresh fish and seafood as well as domestic products. After lunch, you have free time for sightseeing Stomorska old town where you can take a walk or shop some souvenirs. Stomorska is a perfect blend of opposites: old stone houses, sailing boats and small wooden fishing boats docked only a few metres away, Dalmatian taverns and modern cafes. Stomorska’s rustic charm combined with the hospitality of its inhabitants will sweep you off your feet.
Around 16.30 we can visit some some of the secluded coves and beaches on south side of island Šolta where you can enjoy in water toys, swimming and great snorkeling spots.
At 18.30 we are heading to Split and you are back at home port around 20.00.
